Project Launch: Harlesden & Tesco Bags of Help.

harlesden project set to launch

We’re happy to announce that our Harlesden Project will be launching in one week. Made possible by the award of £4000 of grant funding from Tesco Bags of Help & Groundwork, the project will run from late April until the end of May 2019.

We’ve partnered with a local primary school and day centre, and our musicians will run weekly sessions to enable children from the school to spend time at the day centre learning songs, playing music and integrating with the older community on a regular basis.

Ashleigh Dunn, Director of The Music Project, said: “We’re delighted to be launching this new intergenerational music project. We hope we will inspire, educate and entertain all those involved, across generations, and that we can set a template for future community partnerships just like this”.

For more information on the nature of the project you can visit our project page, or follow us on social media to receive regular updates.

And if you’re local to Harlesden and would like to share your thoughts on the project, or if you’d like to engage in a similar project, please get in touch.
